James Squire – 150 Lashes, Swindler and Mid River

Final Animations

150 Lashes

Everyone has a story to tell – this is James Squire’s.

Told in three acts, Flutter took the artwork of traditional tattoo artist Jon FTW and spun it into three unique animations recounting tales of Squire’s journey to becoming Australia’s first brewer. We brought on special effects artist Octavio De Lellis to create the 3D vapour used in all three films – a key implication that James’s story runs through each and every bottle of James Squire beer.

Commissioned by Host Havas Sydney, the suite of animations promote three of James Squire’s iconic brews: 150 Lashes, Swindler, and Mid River.

You’ll find these films on your phones, in cinemas, and online.
