Flutter. Make it Move.

To launch the Flutter agency, this 30 second spot was created to showcase a range of Jacky Winter artist’s work in the context of animation. We also want to communicate the idea that Flutter is a place that people go to have illustration 'brought to life' through a transformation into animation.

Each scene has featured the art of one JW artist which has been artfully animated as a billboard - delivering a unique typographic message. In total, the scenes will read as one cohesive statement or proposition.

Before engaging the illustrators in the proejct, a full brief was drawn up outlining the six different scenes, including a mood board for ecah piece. This page shows some of the reference materials provided to 3D gurus Toby & Pete for their 'Art Car' model.

Countless notes and annotations are made throughout the process of development, transforming the illustrative works of Jacky Winter artists into full 3d modelled characters.

Live Action Filming

Timelapse photography of tin&ed drawing commences for the opening scene. Using long exposure settings, one frame every five seconds is shot using the Canon 5D camera.
